Parents as Teachers (PAT)

For Families with children ages birth to 5 years.

PAT offers families in-home visits in which staff provide parenting tips and learning activities that help parents prepare their children to be ready for school.

Imprints Cares pledges to promote educational and health equity in our community. We are committed to addressing structural barriers which prevent children and their families from reaching their full potential, by embracing cultural diversity and continuously seeking to create safe and inclusive environments where children can learn, grow, and thrive.

Home visits create family-centered engagement opportunities that…

  • Promote good parenting habits by connecting with parents in a familiar environment—their home.
  • Increase positive parent-child interactions.
  • Foster parent understanding at each age and stage of a child’s development.
  • Conduct developmental screenings to help parents understand how their child is growing and recognize their strengths.
  • Refer families for services with community partners.
  • Host monthly parenting groups with family-centered activities.
